According to the latest SEMI Opto/LED Watch, the total equipment spending had grown 35.8% to $2,415 million in 2011. MyLED, a Malaysia-based SSL manufacturer, has just signed Memorandum of Understanding with Amprex, Light-Trend and Osram and invested US$55 million to expand its plant for LED lighting.
